T.L.C's Summer Camp is carefully designed to take the beginning rider through the fundementals of equestrian competence.
We emphasize riding time and hands-on training. Our instructors and staff constantly strive to teach the right balance between horsemanship and fun. Our staff is patient and experienced to help strengthen the skills of your young riders. Here at T.L.C., our goal is to provide fun, while facilitating learning in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Riders are evaluated and critiqued on their understanding of horses, from safety measures, grooming, and tacking up, to basic handling of the horse while mounted and un-mounted.
Summers spent at T.L.C.'s riding camp can create friendships and bonds that are cherished throughout your child's lifetime.
This will be an unforgettable experience for any young rider that has a great passion for one of God's most loved and cherished animals - THE HORSE.
Highlights:
- Two lessons per day, teaching balance and basic equitation of the horse and rider.
- Students will ride different horses each day.
- Qualified instructors from England. 30 years experience.
- Learn to groom, clip, bath, braiding manes, and tack a horse.
- Bullpen-lunging.
- Big arena riding. Gymkana games, egg and spoon race, and potato race. Ground poles.
- Cleaning of equipment.
- Basic feeding and nutrition of horses.
- Hands on stable management, cleaning stalls and feeding.
- Movies, Reading and Swimming. (Please bring bathing suit and towel).
- Lunch is provided.
- FREE TLC T-SHIRTS!!!
- Last day ends with your own campers horse show.
Fees:
$300.00 per week, $100 non-refundable deposit.
Schedule:
August 22nd - 26th.
Monday thru Thursday 9am-2pm.
Friday - Parent/Family Day. Schooling show 9am-12pm, finnishing
with a family BBQ.
